This community is comprised of over 2.4million households, with 47.3% unemployed people of which 29.7% are women. It has high number of unemployed Youth, vulnerable child headed households, women who are gender-based violence victims and elderly women who are raising grandchildren depending on the Government social grant that is not enough to cater for all their needs.
